Buoyed by the success of the Researching Anthropophagy miniseries, in 2021 Pedro Coêntro and Rafael Abrahão proposed making Anthropophagy the central theme of bemdita!'s programming. The pandemic persisted, and as the podcast had become Santa Cia.'s primary creative outlet during this period, we released one episode per week for 44 weeks.

about

This season marked the culmination of a cycle exploring Anthropophagy and its reverberations in contemporary society.

Beyond referencing authors, poets, historians, and cultural figures tied to the 1928 Anthropophagic Movement, bemdita! engaged in direct dialogue with influential São Paulo theater artists who draw from Anthropophagy in their practice.
