Verve Gallery
Rua Lisboa, 285
November 1st, 2014
The second Thoughtful Saturday draws inspiration from the colors of Luna Bushi. Thus it is, was, and shall be: CHROMA.
vaishivararaia!
From repressed bodies,
only gray emerges.
The vibrant color revolution lives
through the body,
to diversify the city
in hues and frequencies
that enable different existences.
Second course:
Luna Bushi – "Vagalumes" (Fireflies).
From digesting Luna’s graffiti,
we assimilate the colors.
CHROMA
amid the early rumblings of coup-like bubbles (protests in the city),
we begin precisely at Benedito Calixto Square,
coloring bodies.
Public hands on deprived bodies,
gazes that dissonate in multicolor,
in the possibility
that exists beyond black and gray.
In the rooms, a single cycle:
coloring souls,
proposing new colors for bodies.
Thoughtful Saturday is a production by Santa Companhia and Verve Gallery, fostering a dialogue between visual and performing arts through monthly performances on the first Saturday of each month, cyclically or linearly. The process begins with openness to porosity: we visit the gallery a month before the performance and devour the exhibited works for inspiration.
